Guest Policy & Terms -
The Chichester Hotel
Room Prices: All room prices are per room per night and are inclusive of VAT at 17½ %. The room price is on a room only basis and does not include any meals taken. Prices for Bed & Breakfast / Bed Breakfast and Evening Meal, may be quoted but will be specifically confirmed as such on the booking confirmation. Reservations may be made up to
2 years in advance. We reserve the right to review our room prices from time to time. If you make a reservation more than one month in advance, the quoted room price may change before the date of your stay.
We reserve the right to charge the current room price on the day of your arrival. If the price of the room has increased by the time you come to stay at the hotel you will be entitled to cancel your reservation without charge (up
to the cancellation period). For an up- to- date room price please check on the website or contact reservations on 01268 560555.
Room Requirements: We will make every possible effort to ensure that your requirements are met , however all rooms are subject to availability. We apologise in advance if your particular requirements cannot be met.
Family Rooms: Family rooms offer accommodation for two adults and up to two children under the age of sixteen. All family rooms contain a double bed and a sofa bed. A cot (for children up to two years of age) can be booked, subject to availability.
Disabled Room: The disabled room is specially adapted for disabled guests. Alternatively if you have walking difficulties rooms on the ground floor are available
Non Smoking Rooms: All our rooms are non smoking.
Reservations: May be made via the website or by contacting reservations on 01268 560555. All private reservations must be guaranteed with a credit/debit card. We will not be able to make a reservation for you without a credit/debit card. Payment will not be taken in advance of your arrival date but the card may be charged in the event non of arrival or cancellation not within the parameters of the cancellation policy. All internet reservations, once accepted by us, will be automatically guaranteed as a credit/debit card is required to complete the booking process. Company/agency reservations are made by contacting reservations on 01268 560555. They may be confirmed by fax/e mail bearing the company/agency heading where the company/agency accepts responsibility for payment of account in the event of non arrival, cancellation outside the parameters of the cancellation policy, or non payment of the bill. Agency confirmations carrying a disclaimer of responsibility for payment must be accompanied by credit/debit card guarantee
Arrival and Departure: Check-in is from 2pm on the day of arrival, early arrival may be arranged subject to room availability, if arrival after 10pm is anticipated prior notice is appreciated to assist the night personnel. Check-out time is 10.30am on the day of departure.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel your reservation please call 01268 560555. Cancellation of 1 to 3 rooms requires 24 hours notice, and 4 to 6 rooms requires 48 hours notice prior to the date of arrival. Extended periods of notice apply to group reservations in excess of 6 rooms and are dealt with on an individual basis. Where a cancellation is made after the minimum notice requirement 1 nights accommodation (per room cancelled) is payable. When a reservations is cancelled, a reference number will be given as verification. Charges are only made if cancelled rooms are not resold.
Non arrival / Late cancellation after 12.30 pm on the day of arrival
will be charged.
Agency Commission: Payable at 8% on pre booked accommodation &
Breakfast only. Agency bookings are accepted when made through Reservations on 01268 560555. Agency commission will not be paid when bookings are made via the website.
Payment of Accounts: Accounts are payable on departure. For
departure before 7am please settle accounts the previous evening before
10.30pm. Company/agency accounts are arranged in advance and are payable within 14 days. For extended stays, stage payments will be requested every seven days or when an account is in excess of £600. Payment on arrival for accommodation may be requested for reservations made within 48 hours of arrival. The hotel reserves the right to take payment for all services supplied, damage caused
or keys not returned from credit/debit card given as guarantee in the event that accounts are not settled as requested.
Miscellaneous: We regret that, with the exception of guide dogs, pets are not allowed in the hotel. In circumstances wholly beyond our control we reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel your reservation.
All reservations are subject to the Licensing Act 1984 and the Hotel Proprietor's Act 1956.
